It’s still early days, but Hoboken FC continue to punch their ticket back to the First Division, emphatically. Suddenly ailing New York Ukrainians were crushed 9-0 at Laurel Hill Park with Jeff Natale striking a hat trick in the last 22 minutes.

Cory Chaplin [7th] opened the floodgates and would get a second goal [55th]. Jeremy Witherspoon [12th, 58th], James Reed [51st] and Mark Roussey [63rd] also tallied before Natale took over [68th, 70th, 71st].

However, it was a bittersweet outing for Hoboken [3-0, 9], who top the Division Two South standings.

“Unfortunately, our keeper, Jon-Paul Francini, sustained a serious injury late in the first half and was transported to the hospital by ambulance,” lamented GM Bill Marth. “He had emergency surgery on his right leg.”

The reserve game was goalless.
